Abstract:
he study investigates the relationship between the types of attachment and gambling addiction. The study was made on a group of 121 gambling players of which: 34.7% are addicted players, 33.1% are moderate risk players, and 32.2% are low risk players. Depending on the types of attachment, it was found that: 31.4% of participants have predominantly the type of secure attachment, 39.7% have an anxious attachment, and 28.9% have avoidant attachment. Statistical analysis of the results obtained showed that people with the type of secure attachment have a low dependency severity index and thus have a low level of problems. Also, participants who obtained a high severity index have a type of anxious attachment, and those who recorded a moderate severity index have an avoidant attachment.
