Abstract

This research is about perspectives of Ukrainian transport sector. The use of waterways for the delivery of cargo has many advantages, since it is more environmentally friendly and more economically efficient than other modes of transportation. Ukraine has an advantageous geographical position and located at the intersection of transit corridors. According to European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the port sector of Ukraine looks promising in terms of using concession contracts, it is developing dynamically, and there is a considerable interest from the private sector.
